Nida, Curonian Split, Lithuania. The Curonian Spit is a 98 km long, thin, curved sand-dune spit that separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea coast. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site shared by the two countries, Lithuania and Russia. The Curonian Spit is home to the highest moving (drifting) sand dunes in Europe. Their average height is 35 meters, but some attain the height of 60 meters. (Wikipedia)

Kura säär on ligi 100 km pikkune maasäär, mis eraldab Kura lahte Läänemerest. Poolsaart jagavad omavahel Leedu ja Venemaa. Sealsed luited on Euroopa kõrgeimad, keskmiselt 35 meetrit, kuid leidub ka 60 meetri kõrgusi luiteid. Kura säär kuulub UNESCO maailmapärandi nimistusse. Mõlemas riigis on loodud poolsaart hõlmavad rahvuspargid. (Vikipeediast)
See foto on tehtud Leedus, silmapiiril paistvad künkad kuuluvad juba Venemaale.
