Ristleja Aurora oli pikka aega Oktoobrirevolutsiooni sümboliks, legendi kohaselt algas Aurora kahuripauguga rünnak Talvepaleele.
7. november oli seetõttu Nõukogude Liidus suur püha.
Praegu on Aurora tihedalt ümbritsetud tänavakaubitsejate lettidest.

Cruiser Aurora was long time a symbol of October Revolution in Russia, according the legend it's gun signaled the start of the assault on the Winter Palace.
Celebrating the event, 7th of November was holiday in Soviet Union.
Now the ship it is surrounded by street merchants in St. Petersburg.
