Flag of Estonia - 130

Posted by
Vaido (Võrumaa, Estonia) on 4 June 2014 in Lifestyle & Culture.

The blue, black and white flag was first consecrated by the members of the Estonian Students’ Society in Otepää on 4 June 1884 - 130 years ago.
Later on the flag declared as the official state symbol on 21 November 1918.
The first, original flag was carefully hidden during Soviet occupation more than 50 years. Now it is located in Estonian National Museum.
This photo is taken 5 years ago, when flag became 125 years old.
130 aastat tagasi, 4. juunil 1884 õnnistati Otepääl esimene sinimustvalge Eesti Üliõpilaste Seltsi lipuna.
See foto on tehtud 5 aastat tagasi, lipu 125. sünnipäeva tähistamisel Otepääl.
