Teravmokk-ninasarvik / Black rhinoceros

Posted by
Vaido (Võrumaa, Estonia) on 14 April 2016 in Animal & Insect.

Early in the morning in Ngorongoro caldera. Rhino got a company - he has yellow-billed oxpeckers in his back. These birds have a habit of perching on large wild and domesticated mammals.

Vara hommikul Ngorongoro kraatris. Ninasarviku seljas on tõenäoliselt kuldnokk-pühvlilinnud, kellel on komme suurte imetajate karvadest parasiite otsida.

Almost silhouette like and that has a powerful effect on seeing the "beast" in the fog - you just feel its presence and poise.
