Muskusveised / Muskoxen

Posted by
Vaido (Võrumaa, Estonia) on 16 July 2016 in Animal & Insect.

Muskusveis on mammuti kaasaegne, olles nõnda justkui elav sild tuhandete aastate taguse jääajaga.
Just Gröönimaal Kangerlussuaqi ümbruses on vabalt looduses uitavaid muskusveiseid tänapäeval kõige hõlpsam kohata.

Muskoxen spent their time with mammoths already, building a thousands of years long bridge for us back to Ice Age.
Just near Kangerlussuaq, Greenland musk oxen roam freely in the wild today and they can be quite easily seen.

A beautiful shot of these ancient beasts. I hope they survive climate change and us, too.
