Teravmägede rannikul / On the Svalbard coast

Posted by
Vaido (Võrumaa, Estonia) on 15 June 2018 in Landscape & Rural.

No one leaves settlement without a gun in Svalbard because of the true landlords of the islands - polar bears.
Saarte põlisperemehe - jääkaru - tõttu ei lahku Teravmägedel asulast keegi ilma tulirelvata.

A truly great compo, so completely wild but for the adventurer who is the symbol of man's presence. May we always hold the world in a humble state of awe.

A wonderful image of this wild place. I'm sure the bears would find a hiker a fine meal.

Excellent shot. Love the human element with the person looking into the landscape for a great perspective.
