Sucre, Bolivia

Posted by
Vaido (Võrumaa, Estonia) on 14 November 2019 in Cityscape & Urban.

The National Palace in Sucre was completed in 1896 and it was planned and designed to be the presidential palace of Bolivia. However, after the Bolivian Civil War the seat of the Bolivian government was transferred to La Paz. Therefore the National Palace is no longer used as the President’s residence. Above the main entrance is the phrase “La union es la fuerza,” or The Union is Strength.
