Hagia Sophia, (Turkish Ayasofya), a cathedral built at Constantinople (now Istanbul, Turkey) in the 6th century, is considered to be the most important Byzantine structure and one of the world’s great monuments.
Recently, the building has been the subject of intense news.

Hagia Sophia (Türgi Ayasofya), on 6. sajandil Konstantinoopolis (praegu Istanbul, Türgi) ehitatud katedraal, mida peetakse Bütsantsi arhitektuuri tähtsaimaks esindajaks ja üheks olulisemaks kultuurimälestiseks maailmas.
Viimasel ajal on hoone tihti uudistes olnud.

Nice compo: the blue-ish water of the fountain before the nicely illuminated Aya Sofia, also known as the blue Mosque. (symbolic?) 5*

@Siepi: It is nice to walk in Istanbul in the evening... By the way - Blue Mosque (or Sultan Ahmed Mosque), situated quite near to Hagia Sofia and looking quite similar to us, is still a different one.

I like the contrast of cool and warm tones as and the juxtaposition of form from the fountain curves to the dome of the old Mosque. I might be tempted to clone out the light post (or posts) in the trees on the right of the frame but still a great image either way.

@Jason Kravitz: Cheers, Jason... Surely hiding those lights you mentioned would result in a bit cleaner corner...

I like the warm versus cool tones as well and your exposure is spot on for the lights.
